Vandermarel Trucking Limited, a family owned and operated business was established in April 1989 and has entered into its 17th year of business.

It all started in Europe in the 1960's when Andy Vandermarel was a truck driver in the Netherlands. He immigrated to Canada in the Early 1970's and bought a dairy farm near Tillsonburg, Ontario. He and Mary eventually got married and started a family. After many years in the agricultural field, they decided it would be great for Andy to go back to his first love... Trucking. He started out in Canada as an Owner Operator for another Southern Ontario company and eventually made the step in 1989 to start on his own. Mary has been there to support him from the beginning and has always been involved in the company's administration.

Starting as a two-tractor, two-trailer operation Vandermarel Trucking Limited has grown steadily over the years and now boasts a fleet of 65 tractors, 121 trailers, and an ever growing staff of 56 Company drivers, 4 Owner Operators, 7 Full-time Shop Employees, and 10 Office Employees, we continue to grow to meet our customers' needs.

The operation was first run out of the Vandermarel home, and moved in 1996 to our present facility. Construction of Phase Two of our facility is complete. We have added on 4 new service bays. This has more than doubled the space in our service area. We have also renovated and expanded the office area to include a new boardroom, new dispatch office, new accounting office, and a new office for Mary and Andy, the owers. This expansion was completed in the Summer of 2006.
